Lapis & Llamas

The last couple of days I've been busy trying to organize my crafting area.  The weather's been so nice lately that it gave me a little extra motivation to clean, organize and go through a ton of boxes to find a place for everything. I also wanted to incorporate some of my mother's crafting supplies that were still in my garage. So far I have just made room for them in my cabinet, they are still in the garage.  But hopefully by Wednesday night they will be all sorted and put away. We also got Nightcrawler fixed.  She has been so down since we brought her home, at fist all she wanted to do was hangout with Yetti, but today she back to her old self, harassing everybody and everything (especially my Bird of Paradise plant). Nightcrawler loves spending time with Yetti, and Yetti doesn't mind.  Her home is so cozy that Nightcrawler loves napping in it. I just wanted to show something I have been working on for a little while.  When I was younger I started writing this story about my bear "Tete" as a intergalactic space traveler, he and his crew were bounty hunters.  I drew sketches and schematics of their ship, but always wanted to do more with the idea.  So decided to take their journey in a Plush direction.  I am loving the way they are turning out. Tonight I have to do some serious tiding up.  Especially in my craft corner, it's been my dumping ground for everything I don't have a home for.  My table has layers upon layers of stuff ready to landslide right off onto one my poor unsuspecting kitties below:(  Plus I need to take down my decorations and pack up my lights.  Mommy and baby lamb These past couple weeks I've picked some really cute knick knacks while out thrifting that need a proper place to shine.  Lets hope I don't get distracted, which I honestly always do.   It's one of my worse traits, that and procrastinating.  So bad for leaving everything till the last moment to do. If I do indeed get my area done I will post some before and after shots, so I better get to work.  Till later.

I love this idea for a project.  It inspires me, and i can't wait to start!  I chose to make pillows for our living room chairs using vintage fabric napkins I picked up at a thrift shop.  I loved the colors and patterns but never got around to using them.  We really aren't dinner party people, who use fancy fabric napkins.  I am adding some embroidery to add that extra handmade touch to them.  Hope the turn out as good as the vision is in my head. I will post update pictures on my flicker page, here and the Project Restyle Flickr page.   I hope I can keep up the momentum.  Till later.

Been pretty busy these past holiday weeks, with family time, traveling back and forth from love one homes.  Eating treats and making treats.  Phew...that wore me out all over again!  So here are some random photos from the past 2 weeks.  Hope you enjoy them.   Picked up some pins while thrifting with my honey and his mum.   Got a hair cut.   Treats at my brothers.   The saddest little reindeer ever!
