My sis-in-law Shama was teaching me how to make Aluparotha. I would write the recipe down, Shama really didn't follow one.  She such a pro she measures with her eye. 
I can tell you the list of ingredients: Drumlin Flour, hot water, salt. for the filling it mashed potatoes, cumin, salt, turmeric powder, mashed garlic.

 The trick to making Aluparotha is the "dumpling like" fold you have to do in order for the filling to stay on the inside.  Then roll out the patties and cook it in a low pan on high heat.
